Based on the Chilean documentary “El Agente Topo”
Charles, a retired man, gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad for a private investigator and becomes a mole in a secret investigation at a nursing home.
Remake of El Agente Topo (2020)
Loved it!
What I was expecting was a comedy full of cliches about someone going undercover, their crazy antics, etc
Instead, we got a series about a man who not only helped others, but actually helped himself heal from the loss of his wife.
This great series wasn’t full of corny laughs and cheesy lines, I found myself really emotional during some parts because of the way the topics were handled, like the resident with memory issues
However, it wasn’t all serious that made you feel depressed or bored going through the episodes, it kept the series worth watching because you wanted to see how it played out – who stole, etc.
The casting and acting were great, the cinematography and locations very well done
I really hope they do another season and bring a great mix of laughs, emotions, script, location and cast like they did in Charles’s next detective adventures and like they did in this one.
