Plot
Two girls disappear. The police recruit Paul Chartier, who joins a secret unit tracking down sex offenders. After the operation fails, Chartier, frustrated by the legal restrictions, decides to pursue the perpetrators himself. It includes Nosferatu, Symphony of the Dead (1922). So we watched the film in French with Dutch subtitles. I don’t understand French, and my Dutch is clearly not good enough to be able to communicate on these issues. I also don’t know much about pedophiles and the Belgian police in the 90s. Is it a good film? Not for me. It looked like a film about a policeman investigating a missing child. He looks young and has a good memory, remembering 21 license plates after an incident with another police department. Although he is quite emotional and often loses his temper. All the characters seem quite incompetent. I just have a hard time following them. I won’t say anything more so as not to spoil it for you.
